When I FIRST started trying to figure out how to get the youtube channel that I manage to 1 million subscribers, I didn’t know anything about what’s now called the creator studio on youtube.

But while I was in there I saw something that stopped me dead in my tracks. There was a video at the top of the real time views, getting hella views, AND THAT VIDEO WAS OVER A YEAR OLD!

Sometimes a video takes off unexpectedly months or even YEARS after you posted it. And there’s a lot of different reasons for this—we can  talk about it later.

WHEN that happens, you want to do two things.

1) make another video that’s similar to that one and post it as soon as possible

2) be sure you’re driving traffic FROM the video that’s taking off to one of your newer videos that needs a little love.
